Pizza in the Adirondacks? Of course! Here are 10 places in the High Peaks that will have your mouth watering and your stomach satisfied.

Bazzi's Pizza. Bazzi's is located at the busy south end of Main Street in Lake Placidnear a couple of major hotels. There's a comfortable dining room and a few relaxing sidewalk picnic tables. The restaurant serves great pizza at a reasonable price with lots of specialty pizza pies and a full Italian menu. The popular lunch spot offers two slices and a soda for $6. Free delivery plus eat in or take-out are available.

Marinos Pizzeria. Located far from the maddening crowd (halfway between Lowville and Boonville), this little pizzeria in Lyons Falls does a whopping business. It seats 45, has televisions for sports viewing and serves up a mean pie. They make their dough and sauce fresh daily and hand shred their fresh mozzarella cheese to order -- there's nothing frozen or bagged here. After two decades this is still a popping spot. Eat in, take-out and reservations are accepted.

Guido's Pizzeria. Located in Tupper Lake, Guido's has been the go-to place for pizza here since 1988. Check out their loaded Southwestern Pizza: chicken fajitas, jalapeno peppers, sliced tomatoes, shredded cheese, black olives and then coated with BBQ sauce. They have it all here: subs, calzones, dinners, beer, wine and Quick Draw. Eat in, take-out and free delivery are available in town.

Glenmore Bar and Grill. There are lots of places to get pizza around Big Moose Lake, so why pick the Glenmore Bar and Grill? Well, the pie is excellent and very reasonably priced (try the 12-inch Garlic Spartacus) and the view of the lake is fantastic. But wait...what is that NYS historical marker down by the dock? Go take a look and you will hear the eerie tale of the "1906 Crime of the Century."

Puterko's Family Pizza. This popular eatery located in a refurbished old home at Indian Lake is a nice family pizzeria and Italian restaurant run by Adam and Crystal Puterko. Hand tossed pizza with dough is made fresh daily. They make thin, thick and pan pizza. Their extensive collection of toppings includes eggplant, pineapple and gouda cheese. Eat in or take-out are available, and they accept reservations.

Screamen Eagle Pizza. This is the best place for pizza in the Fulton Chain of Lakes region. Located in Inlet, locals swear you just cannot get a bad slice of pizza here, whether it's California, Taco, Pesto, Original Italian, Hawaiian, Meat Lovers, Three Cheese, Buffalo Wing or Vegetarian.  Located two blocks from the water, Screamen Eagle also has a comfortable bar and dining room. Eat in or take-out are available.

Pete's Aah. Gotta give it to this little pizzeria in North Creek (Town of Johnsburg) for the best name: Pete's Aah (get it?). They offer great slices near the base of Gore Mountain skiing center. This is a casual, family-style place with an old jukebox and some arcade games for the kids. Pies are large and pretty cheap for a ski center. Located in a stand alone spot on Main Street, it has a small dining room and a few outdoor tables. Dough is made from scratch daily, and they're known for their bendovers -- a slice of pizza without the mess. Eat in, take-out or delivery are available. History trivia: In 1967 Gore Mountain was the first ski slope to offer gondola rides to the top of the mountain, and Pete's Aah has one on display right in the front of their restaurant.

House of Pizza. Located in the middle of the small business district of Ticonderoga, they have what must be the most unusual pie in the Adirondacks -- the Chili Pizza with Sour Cream base (and yes, you can add hot dogs for a topping). They make a mean calzone here also. Eat in, take-out and delivery are available, and beer and wine are served.

Mad River Pizza Co. An Au Sable Forks landmark for good pizza, this friendly tavern and a rocking good showcase for live music. One of the hippest places near the popular tourist destinations of Ausable Chasm and the ferry to Vermont in Port Kent.  Keep an eye out for the "live music tonight" sign because the place will be hopping and you might have to wait a few minutes for your order. This is a certainly a tasty and lively place in the remote area between the Northway and Lake Champlain. They have a very tiny dining room, but they accept reservations.

Tony Harper's Pizza & Clam Shack. This is one of the busiest restaurants in vacation hot spot Old Forge. During the season it is wall-to-wall with tourists, families, parties, bikers, locals and more. They come for the fun, the live music, the bar, the clams, the outdoor seating area and, of course, the pizza. You might think this loud and rambunctious place is a little on the rough side at first, but just take a look at the menu, which includes The Field of Dreams: "Sliced Anjou pears on a bed of buttery caramelized sweet onions with a touch of balsamic vinegar, gorgonzola and mozzarella cheese with a sprinkling of fresh greens." Eat in and take-out are available.
