Meet Jackie!

Meet our owner: Jaquline (Jackie) Macaluso

Business owner, mother, wife, friend and colleague. 

“The person whom I admire the most is my mom, Judy Herron. She was my mentor. She worked very hard and just loved the real estate business,” said Jackie Macaluso, Owner of Herron Realty.

Jackie was born in New Jersey and moved to Old Forge in 1972 with her family.

Her parents opened Herron Realty in 1978.

After college, her first job was at Cortland Hospital then at a private pulmonary physician’s office before making her way to the real estate business.

Jackie and her talented team of agents keep Herron Realty busy as ever but she makes no bones about the importance of good client relations.

“Our clients are the foundation of our agency. Everything we do, we do for them,” she explained. “From buying to selling we exist to help our clients meet their real estate goals. We are here for them every step of the way.”

As a young girl Jackie really enjoyed outdoor activities and she still gets out now and again. Hiking, riding motorcycles, canoeing, boating, and sitting by a nice campfire are in her top five.

“It’s what I love most about living in the Adirondacks,” Jackie began. “Nature is all around you. It grounds you. Any activity or fun to be had can literally take place in your back yard. From deer visiting in the morning to an afternoon hike on the trails, it’s all right here for you.”

Jackie currently resides in Indian Lake, NY with her husband John Macaluso and their Australian Shepard, Kitty. They have 4 daughters, and 5 grandchildren with a sixth grandchild on the way!
